Well point systems are used to lower groundwater levels to provide stable working conditions in excavations and are particularly suited to dewatering for shallow foundations and trench works. This method is capable of dealing with a wide variety of ground conditions, particularly suited to non-cohesive soils.
A well point system consists of a closely spaced series of small-diameter shallow wells. The well points are connected to a common header main and are pumped with a high-efficiency vacuum de-watering pump.
The well points are usually installed using a jetting tube and pump. The two combined are a rapid and cost effective method of installing disposable well points; the use of filters reduces undermining and produces clean discharge water, this system can be designed to suit most excavations.
The well point system is suitable for many types of civil works.Our fuel efficient pumps make de-watering a more cost effective solution, where ground water is present.

The pump and motor are enclosed in the stackable frame, which protects the pump unit on working site. During transport the frames can be loaded 2 pieces above each other. The SAI PUMPS are self-priming, positive displacement piston pumps. Because of its efficient design, the pump is capable of operating with very low energy costs, dramatically reducing operational Costs. The pumps also are environmentally friendly, sporting a double sealing piston rod which prevents any oil from entering the environment.
